What these terms cover

These terms cover this website and the lessons we publish on YouTube. Our lesson application at ccmath.k12worx.org is a separate service with its own terms.

Who we are

K12worX Education is a 501(c)(3) Public Charity registered in the United States (EIN 39-4840254). Our programs are free or low-cost at the point of delivery. Contact: info@k12worx.org.

Using our lessons

Our video lessons are published free on our YouTube channel, @k12worx, and are free to watch.

Teachers, tutors, parents and students are welcome to use them for teaching and learning — in a classroom, a tutoring session, or at home. You may link to them and show them to a class. You do not need to ask us.

Please do not:

• re-upload our videos to another channel or platform as your own,
• sell our lessons, or charge for access to them,
• alter a lesson and present the result as ours, or
• imply that K12worX Education endorses you, your organization, or your product without our written agreement.

If you want to do something these terms do not obviously allow, ask us at info@k12worx.org. We are a charity trying to get math to students, and we are inclined to say yes.

Watching our lessons on YouTube also means agreeing to YouTube’s Terms of Service, which we do not control.

This website

The text, images, and design of this site belong to K12worX Education. Quote us, cite us, and link to us freely. Ask before republishing a page wholesale or using our name or logo on your own materials.

We link to other organizations’ sites where it is useful. We do not control them and are not responsible for what they contain.

What we can and cannot promise

Our lessons are educational material, offered in good faith and made with care. They are not a substitute for a teacher, a curriculum, or professional educational advice, and we cannot promise any particular learning outcome.

We work to keep our materials accurate and aligned to the standards we name. If you find an error, please tell us — we would rather fix it than have a student learn it. Write to info@k12worx.org.

The website and its materials are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or error-free.

To the fullest extent the law allows, K12worX Education is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or our materials. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Your content

If you send us a message, an error report, or a suggestion, we may act on it — including fixing a lesson — without owing you compensation. We will not publish your name or your message without asking you first.

Donations

Donations are arranged by email through finance@k12worx.org. As a 501(c)(3) Public Charity, donations may be tax-deductible in the United States; we will provide an acknowledgement for your records. Ask us about the tax treatment of a specific gift rather than relying on this page.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, which is very little.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts serving Santa Clara County, California. If you think we have got something wrong, please write to us first — we would much rather sort it out by email.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. If a change is significant we will say so on the page.
